Music and song have been enhancing the lives of the residents at Elmcroft to empower their minds and to tackle lonliness.

The residents at Elmcroft are delighted to be actively involved alongside other members of the community to attend St Michael's church in Church Lane, Southwick; where once a month they enjoy singing their hearts out to help to fight dementia.

The Alzheimer's Society has researched and found that the power of music and singing not only helps lift the moods of individuals but music and song also improves personal wellbeing and brain activity. This goes one step further for people living with dementia, as singing and music helps to improve memory.
