Thank you and well done to all of the services who took the time to enter our EO Day banner competition.

Services were asked to create a banner (made from recycled items) showing what being employee-owned means to them. There were some very creative entries which made it all the more difficult to choose a winner. So much so that we have decided to have winner and a runner-up.

Congratulations to our winner Cwm Celyn in Blaina who made quite the impression with their nautical themed masterpiece and their level of detail including messages from individual employees about being employee-owned.The team will receive a £250 Love2Shop voucher to spend at the service to benefit both service users and staff.

We would also like to congratulate our runner-up who has won a £125 voucher. Well done to Elizabeth House in Bognor Regis. Elizabeth House did a great job recreating the Shaw branding to make their eye catching banner.

Russell Brown commented: “I was so impressed to see all of these terrific banners and it was lovely to hear that some of our residents got involved too. It really was very hard to call an outright winner as I could see how much effort went into all of them. A great way to mark Employee-Owned Day 2024! Thank you to everyone who entered.”

Employee Voice Manager for Shaw, Jayne Harrison said: “Whilst we are now in our 5th year of being an employee-owned company, it is my first working with the employee reps, EOT trustees and managers on all things EO. I wanted to do something to encourage employee engagement and find out what being employee-owned means to ouremployees - while focusing on sustainability. It was great to see all of the unique ideas while using recyclable materials in such a creative way. Well done all for the amazing contributions.”
