Staff at a Sycamore Lodge in Nailsea have been recognised for their hard work after reaching the final stage of a top regional care awards.
Three employees at the home have been shortlisted as finalists in the regional Care and Support West awards in three categories.
Service manager, Barry O’Driscoll, has been shortlisted in the ‘Home Manager/ Team Leader’ category while Chris Maynard-Pickett has been shortlisted for ‘Chef– Front Line’ and Costin Voicu has made the final cut in the category of ‘Nurse – Front Line’.
Barry said: “I’m made up that I have been selected as a finalist but even more so for Costin and Chris. Their nominations are testament to their hard work and dedication to Sycamore Lodge and the residents who live here.”
The awards celebrate the dedication of care professionals across the region and acknowledge the positive impact they have on the lives of the those in their care.
Regional director, Abigail Katsande, said: “I was so pleased when I heard the news that three members of staff at Sycamore Lodge had made the final for these awards. Barry and his team always strive to provide the highest standard of care in a real home-from-home environment. I am so proud of them.”
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place at Ashton Gate Stadium later this year (date TBC).
