Homefield House has hosted an employee celebration to show thanks to their staff and recognised a combined total of 351 years of service

The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Paul Miller Mayoress-elect Sandra Miller were some of the guests who gathered at the home to thank staff for their hard work and commitment to the service presenting them with a certificate and chocolates.

The celebrations which included a buffet lunch marked the long-service achievement of many staff including support workers, Linda Thomson and Mario Dela Cruz, with an impressive 35 and 32 years service respectively.

Service manager, Andreea Basarabie, said: “It has been a great day enjoyed by both staff, residents and also families. The team here work tirelessly for our residents to make sure they are happy and I am so pleased that they have been recognised today.”

Also, in attendance was Chief Executive Officer for Shaw healthcare, Russell Brown as well as Chief Operating Officer, Mike Smith, who, thanked staff personally.

Homefield House care home is operated by Shaw healthcare provides residential care for up to 24 elderly people including those living with dementia.
