Lyubka is from Bulgaria and we decided to celebrate Orthodox Easter with her and sharing in some of the traditions.
We began by using the greeting "Hristos voskrese!" ("Christ has risen!") then the response was "Voistina voskrese"! ("Indeed, He has risen"), then we tried some traditional sweet bread called "Kozunak" and Lyubka shared some of the ingredients that she could remember to make it.
This was followed by the traditional Egg Tapping competition, which meant tapping each other's brightly coloured hard boiled eggs and the egg that did not crack was the winner.
Our final was between Agnes and Barbara and our lucky winner was Barbara.
Everyone said they really enjoyed sharing in this celebration and learning something new.
