Warmere Court care home is celebrating 10 years of delivering care for its residents.

Warmere Court care home in Yapton marked the milestone with a celebratory cake, drinks and afternoon tea. Residents, staff and family members were joined by local performer, Janine Leigh, who sang a mixture of songs from the 50s and 60s, alongside a performance from a 15-piece ukulele band.

The District Councillor for Adur Council, Stephen Haymes, and Alun Thomas, chairman of Shaw healthcare – which operates the home – also joined the celebrations.

Support worker, Clare Coe and home manager, Mary Latter, were also thanked for their long service, having both worked for Shaw 10 years but Warmere court for 25 years (including the previous Warmere Court care home).

Ms Latter commented: “Staff, residents and our special guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon celebrating 10 years of providing care at Warmere Court.

“Recognising this significant milestone is important, and I would like to pay tribute to the staff who work hard to ensure that we provide a high standard of care, especially Clare, who’s been a favourite of residents for decades.”

Warmere Court provides residential care and Nursing care for up to 40 residents including those living with dementia. Shaw healthcare provides a spectrum of services from comprehensive care packages through to low level support in the community for older people and adults with physical, sensory or mental health support needs
