Residents of Waverely House and their families threw a party for staff to say thank you for their efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Mayor of Leominster, Cllr John Rumsey, and chief executive officer for Shaw healthcare, Jeremy Nixey, visited the home to show their appreciation of the staff and to say thank you for their hard work.
Certificates and chocolates were handed out to all members of staff as they were recognised for their dedication and commitment throughout the pandemic.
Janet Hicks, who has been working at the home since 1996, enjoyed sharing her memories throughout the years, as did Agnes Horton who has been with Waverly House since 2008.
Allan Riley, service manager of the Shaw healthcare operated home, said: “It has been wonderful to be able to invite people back into the home for this special celebration – each and every one of the team deserve recognition.
“I can’t explain how proud I am of the staff and the way they pulled together through what has been the most challenging time in our careers. We are looking forward to welcoming more people from the community into the home for future events.”
